Michael
Abromowitz
President, NFL Draft Director, Senior Writer
michael@thefootballexpert.com
Michael
has been following the NFL Draft for more than ten years, and began
writing on the NFL Draft with KFFL.com in 2004.
He has been quoted in numerous publications, both internet and
print and is a proud member of the Football Writers Association of
America. His mock drafts have been on numerous NFL team
sites. He does
interviews
for the draft on numerous radio shows and websites.
Around the
internet,
Michael is known as the guy for “having a knack for finding the hidden
gems.” In 2007,
he made the statement that Kevin Boss, who Michael had interviewed, was
the
best sleeper in the draft. Boss ended up starting in the Super
Bowl as a rookie for the New York Giants and made a crucial catch to
help lead the Giants to victory. In 2008,
his top sleeper was little known DE William Hayes from Winston-Salem
St. Hayes was drafted in the 4th round by the Titans to the
surprise of almost everyone. TheFootballExpert.com was the only
site to have an exclusive interview with him.
In 2009, Michael finished #2 among all NFL Draft
experts in
predicting the NFL Draft with his mock draft. He has the 4th best
3-year average, tied with Mel Kiper Jr. He started
thefootballexpert.com
because he knew he
could do better than the experts on the NFL Draft and needed a portal
for his
opinions. He also is a fantasy football guru. He is
involved with an internet wide Dynasty Fantasy Football Expert league
that has been
featured on USAToday.com and FoxSports.com. He is a graduate of
the University of Virginia with a degree in
Economics. During his time at UVA, he worked with the University
of Virginia football program in recruiting. To this date,
Michael's most memorable interview was with
then Brown linebacker Zak DeOssie, now a New York Giant, where he was
blown away how smart, ambitious, and down to earth DeOssie was. He
grew up in Dayton,
Ohio.
