Are Left Guards being Overvalued?
by Bill Chuang.  I read a very thought provoking article written by Ross Tucker in CNNSI.com. Tucker is a former NFL offensive lineman who had played all five positions along the line.  The article addresses the relative importance of each position along the offensive line.
DeAngelo Hall
Secondary Education
I was very surprised, though perhaps I shouldn’t have been that the Raiders signed DeAngelo Hall to the a 7 year $70 million contract.  Hall may be perennially the fastest man in the NFL, but he’s not the best cover corner in the league.

Tuck's Rule Returns to Beat the Patriots

NFL Allegiances
Recently, Zach Thomas was released by the Dolphins.  The first thought in my head after I heard this, was that he would fit right in at middle linebacker for the Patriots.

Celebrations have always been a part of sport; from hugs, to dancing, to falling to one knee to praise god. Many athletes are now being punished for celebrating when it’s not harming anyone.

The Six Degrees of Tom Brady
As expected Bill Belichick won the Coach of the Year Award.  When you’re the coach of a team that went 16-0, it would be hard not to get this award.

The NFL has issues it needs to resolve soon. The #1 issue as a fan should be the quality of the product on the field. Rookies who should not be making teams are replacing veterans who should not be getting released.
