Okay, I have sympathy for
you Raider fans out there. It is going to
be a tough, long season for
you. But, I have decided to be an
optimist. I present my top ten reasons
to be an Oakland Raiders fan.
10. You can save
money by booking that cruise vacation in January now, instead of
waiting to see
if your team makes the playoffs.
9. You are most
likely an Oakland A’s fan,
so you
are probably pumped about the playoffs!
8. You probably live
in the Northern California area, which is right
near
wine country. Maybe this Sunday, take a drive up to the closest
vineyard; it is
not like you have a game to watch.
7. With
a high probability
of having a top three pick, makes the college game more exciting. Is Brady Quinn the answer?
6. No one picks on
you for wearing that Randy Moss jersey because it is Randy Moss. That #18 Moss jersey, pretty cool no matter how bad
the Raiders are.
5. Halloween
is coming
up and you already have your costume.
4. If Jerry Porter does
not even watch the game, why should you have to? Do something
else with your time. Maybe learn your wife and children's names.
3. The
quarterback
mess gives you hope that you could start for the Raiders.
2. You always have the excuse, “We have already won 3
Super Bowls, I can’t be too spoiled. By the way Minnesota, how
many rings do you have?"
1. Never
a dull
moment with Al Davis. Who will he sign
next? Tim Couch, I hear your phone
ringing.
