NFL Draft
Analyst
Prospect: Eben Britton, OT, Arizona
Ht:
6’6 Wt: 309 40: 5.19
Strengths:
Great frame. Tough and very physical playing style. Rarely
gives up on plays. He is very quick for his size, and has great
balance and agility. Has good footwork. Great
awareness. He is a very well-rounded prospect. He can pass
block as well as run block. He has a great initial push in the
run game. Can use his hands pretty well. Does a great job
of blocking in the second level. Has a lot of experience. Is a
hard worker and is a great
leader.
Weaknesses:
Needs to improve his pulling techniques. Could improve on his
strength (24 reps on the bench at the combine). Is said to have
short arms for an OT. His lateral movement will be an area of
concern; he is often beat from rushers off the edge because of
this. He will take time to develop into his
potential.
Summary:
Britton is a well-rounded prospect. He can pass block and is a
great run blocker. However, he will need time to develop to be a
good offensive tackle in the NFL. I love watching his initial
push in run blocking and how he gets into the second level. He is
a great worker and a good leader. He needs improvement in
strength and his lateral movement.
