Interview with DaJuane Collins, RB, Toledo

DaJuane Collins is the senior running back for the Toledo Rockets. He was selected to the ALL-MAC Third Team and led the Rockets in rushing with 991 yards and 14 TDs. He also had 116 yards receiving on 17 receptions. He not only led the Rockets in rushing, but he also averaged a 5.6 rushing average. He is currently preparing for the NFL Draft in Atlanta at Competitive Edge Sports.

TFE: What is your accurate height, weight and 40 time?
DaJuane: Height: 5'11 Weight: 225 40 Time: 4.50

TFE: What do you feel is your greatest strength as a football player and what area do you feel you need to improve in?
DaJuane: My greatest strength is my vision, elusiveness, ability to make other guys miss. My area that I need improvement on is my knowledge and understanding.

TFE: What NFL player do you do you think you compare favorably to?
DaJuane: Ray Rice. Not the fastest guy, good playmaker and has ability to make other players miss.

TFE: Who is the best player you have faced during your college football career?
DaJuane: Larry English, OLB San Diego Chargers

TFE: Did you have a favorite pro team growing up? Favorite player?
DaJuane: My favorite team was the hometown team Eagles and I liked the Jags too. My favorite player growing up was Barry Sanders.

TFE: How have you been preparing for the NFL Draft?
DaJuane: In Atlanta, at Competitive Edge Sports with Chip Smith.

TFE: Do you have any goals in mind when it comes to the NFL Draft?
DaJuane: Work hard every day to get better and better and get drafted.

TFE: What is the one thing you will most miss at college?
DaJuane:The camaraderie and the brotherhood of being on a college team. In the professionals it's more like a business.

TFE: When you get your first professional paycheck what is the first thing you will buy?
DaJuane: I am not going to be one to spend all my money, I will probably buy a car and take my family out.

TFE: Any pregame rituals? Food? Music?
DaJuane: Sit at my locker listening to my ipod, then read the media guide and check the other team's rosters for players from New Jersey, players I would have played against in high school or players I might know.
