NFL Draft
Analyst
Prospect: Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers
Ht: 6'2 Wt: 218 40: 4.4
Strengths:
Britt is an extremely physical WR. He is very athletic and has
great speed for his size. Has ability to block and make huge
hits. Probably the hardest hitting WR in the draft. Not
afraid to go across the middle and can take big hits. Is a decent
route runner. Had 9 catches for 107 yards against Darius Butler,
cornerback from Connecticut(who could be a first round pick).
Played as a true freshman in 2006. He was very productive in 2007
as well as in
2008.
Weaknesses:
Inconsistent hands. Cannot create good separate
consistently. Not a hard worker. Is not elusive and does
not have elite quickness or acceleration. Suspended one game last
season for violating team rules. This brings up questionable
character concerns. Said to have your typical star WR
attitude.
Summary:
Kenny Britt has had an unbelievable career with the Scarlett
Knights. His three year career has broken too many records to
name. He is a gifted athlete with great size and speed. He
knows how to use his size as well. He is a great blocker and
extremely physical. He has very inconsistent hands and that will
bring up concerns. His character issues will also have some teams
shying away from him. Nevertheless teams will not ignore his
record-breaking career at Rutgers and he could very well be drafted as
early as the first round.
Draft Projection:
Late 1st-Early 2nd Round
