NFL Draft
Analyst
Prospect: Scott McKillop, ILB,
Pittsburgh
Ht:
6’1 Wt: 244 40: 4.79
Strengths:
Great leader. He was the cornerstone of the Pittburgh's
defense. He has a nose for the football. He is a great
tackler; led the team for the last two years. He has a great
motor and rarely gives up and is almost always is in the right place at
the right time. He has decent quickness, moves well in space.
Good strength, he benched 225 lbs, 27 times at the
Combine.
Weaknesses:
Occasionally runs too upright. Although relatively quick, does
not possess good overall speed. Not ideal size. Lacks
dominate athleticism.
Summary: Although
McKillop lacks the desired size for NFL linebacker, he plays
much better than his size shows. He has
a great motor and is a hard worker. McKillop
is a tremendous playmaker that makes
clutch plays that can turn
a game around. He is a great leader on
the field as well as off the field, and that will be something that NFL
teams
will fall in love with.
Draft Projection:
3rd - 4th round
