Strengths: Good size. Has long arms. Very Athletic. Unbelievable pass rusher, relentless. Very quick, loves to get after the QB. Can run the arch. Uses his hands well to get around offensive linemen. Can shed blocks well. Smart player, shows good football I.Q. Has great awareness too, can recognize plays quickly. Great against the run. Can play in the 4-3 or 3-4 defensive schemes. He is an incredible playmaker. I think he is the best pass rusher in the draft.
Weaknesses: Suspended by the NCAA for all of last year for accepting gifts from an agent. When playing 4-3 DE, he needs to contain the outside better. Needs to improve his strength, I think he will struggle against bigger and stronger linemen. I think he relies on simply running around OT's too much. Could improve his pass rush technique.
Summary: Robert Quinn is one of the top players in the country. He is a tremendous pass rusher who can play in both the 4-3 and 3-4 defensive schemes. His draft stock took a huge hit when he couldn't play at all in 2010, but his game tape from his years before doesn't lie. He is extremely athletic and a tremendous playmaker. Robert Quinn is having a good off season and he will probably be drafted in the Top 5.
Draft Projection: Top 5
