NFL Draft
Analyst
Prospect: Tyronne Green, OG,
Auburn
Ht:
6’2 Wt: 309 40: 5.19
Strengths:
Big and has a good stance. Has great potential. He does an
amazing job blocking in the 2nd level. He will find someone to
hit. Works well double-teaming then goes off to find a
linebacker. Does not give up on plays. Finishes
blocks. He is great at pulling. Picks up the blitz very
well, and can take big hits. Uses hands well in pass
protection. In run blocking, he is excellent at sealing.
Weaknesses:
Even though his stance is good; he will be driven back
occasionally. Uses hands very well, however defenders are able to
break free easily. Once defenders break free he loses his balance
a lot of the time. In run blocking, although great at sealing
sometimes he does not drive, he simply turns the defender away, showing
either a lack of strength or simply being lazy.
Summary: He
has a tremendous potential. Shows great instinct on where the
running back is when run blocking. During run blocking he will
block linebackers out of the play. He will drive players into the
ground. Quick for a guard, although he ran only a 5.1 at the
combine, he looks very quick on film against defenders. He is
exceptional at pulling. Know to drive DE’s and OLB’s out when
pulling. He will be a good guard in the NFL with practice on form
and technique.
